Job Summary    

Europe’s first Chuan Spa opened in February 2011 at The Langham, London. Chuan Spa is London’s first hotel spa to incorporate the ancient principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine into its signature treatments, ambience and design.

We are now looking for passionate and customer focussed professionals with the flair to deliver enchanting guest experiences and build great memories in the role of Massage Therapist.

We are seeking true hospitality professionals for our Chuan Spa for the position of Massage Therapist.  The Massage Therapist will be responsible for providing massage treatments to members, hotel guests and day spa guests in line with standards set.  Also, to maximise the revenue for the department through massage and retail product sales.

Requirement    

The Langham, London are looking for committed personalities who have a natural flair to interact with customers, who have passion and desire to deliver fantastic, genuine and friendly service in a unique environment.

It is essential for candidates to have experience in a similar position and environment with a firm understanding of excellence in customer service.  A Diploma in Massage Therapy or equivalent is necessary, in particular Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue and Aromatherapy.  A professional background in massage therapy is desirable.  Candidates will be well-presented, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are good team players and have good time management skills.

The position will need you to be retail sales focused whilst delivering exceptional memorable experience.  Complete training will be provided on Thalgo, Babor and other spa products.

·          Fluency in the language of the duty station, knowledge of The UN language of the duty station.

Description     CapacityPlus, through USAID/Mozambique, will provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MISAU) program for community health workers – Agentes Polivalentes Elementares de Saúde (APE) – which was designed to provide basic health services to the most remote and marginalized communities in Mozambique. CapacityPlus will provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to implement the APEs program and strengthen the APEs coordination system.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing administrative activities to support the APE program’s technical team in carrying out central level project activities, including secretarial support, office management, assisting with training and travel logistics, liaising with IntraHealth headquarters finance and HR departments where needed, and monitoring project compliance with contractual policies and procedures. This position is 50% time and reports directly to the Senior Technical Advisor, CHW Program.

This position will support efforts to accomplish the following key project outputs:
• Achievement of technical activities as outlined in workplans
• High quality trainings and workshops conducted
• Responsive technical assistance to government and other stakeholders

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Administrative assistant will perform the following tasks:
• Support all members of project technical team to carry out activities
• Assist in preparing and updating PowerPoint presentations and other documents
• Maintain organized files and records of technical team activities, both electronic and hard copy
• Ensure project documents for public information (e.g., brochures, publications) are available, displayed and re-stocked as appropriate
• Assist with preparation of correspondence and documents (typing, proofing, layout) as needed and requested
• Organize meetings, trainings, and special events, as requested, including identifying sites, coordinating logistics, preparing and distributing event information, assisting participants, etc
• Assist in organizing technical meetings and internal workshops
• Respond to inquiries about the project work, via correspondence, e mail or phone
• Accompany team members on site visits or to special events, as required
• Note taking at meetings, as requested
• Copying, binding and filing documents
• Basic translation between Portuguese and English, as requested
• Assist with reception and telephone duties
• Perform other administrative and coordination tasks as requested
Requirements     
• A bachelor’s degree in administration (Licenciatura in Management) and a minimum of three years administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to provide excellent administrative and customer service duties, including telephone coverage, ordering office supplies, maintaining office equipment
• Proven ability to work independently and self-motivated; also work cooperatively with other office personnel
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

Overview

To support, lead, develop and implement communication strategies and creative concepts for the Greenpeace Africa oceans campaign in Senegal. This includes:

Adhering to identity guidelines and profiling plans for Greenpeace Africa’s ocean campaign.
Ensure the delivery of agreed campaign and organisational communication strategies in alignment with the Organization Development Plan.

Main responsibilities

1.  Communications design and implementation

Formulate and deliver effective ocean communication strategies and activities, in cooperation with the Communication Manager.
Advise senior management on the formulation and execution of Greenpeace Africa's ocean campaign communication design and strategic direction.
Maintain an overview of key external developments particularly in West Africa.
Implement message testing and evaluation of campaign communications messages and materials through media monitoring and coverage analysis
Provide content on the Oceans campaign for the french side of the Greenpeace Africa website.
Under the guidance of web editor, provide frequent twitter and facebook updates for the Greenpeace Africa french readers.

2.  Africa Communication Strategy

Under the guidance of the GP Africa Communications Director, and in close liaison with the Oceans Campaigns Team and Africa Communications team, coordinate the formulation, development, agreement and implementation of innovative, creative, pro-active and reactive campaign communication strategies and objectives.

Provide strategic communication input into design of any communication program, using core communication principles, audience centered-thinking and understanding of delivery across multiple platforms.

3.  Budget

Develop, monitor and authorize budget expenditure of the relevant communications unit.
Negotiate appropriate level of budget necessary for a campaign/project with relevant party.

4.  External Network and Engagement

Build and maintain national and international networks with industry, suppliers, NGOs, public and paid media.
Work with the outreach coordinator and the new media coordinator to develop and implement an engagement plan across the three offices.

5. Alignment on policy

Ensure all communication material produced by Greenpeace Africa adheres to editorial policies and in line with the identity guidelines across all platforms.
Ensure consistency in communication content and presentation style.

Selection Criteria

Required:

Masters degree or equivalent
Excellent spoken and written French and English
Thorough understanding of media and communications operations in West Africa
Proven success record in campaign based marketing and branding, knowledge of marketing and advertising techniques
Experience in working in international environment
Management experience especially budget management
Ability to conceive and implement ideas single-handedly as well as ensure that those around deliver work in a collaborative manner
Articulate, creative, passionate & tenacious.
